COMEDIC STYLE
Gloriously NC-17-rated humor that mixes high- and low-brow humor with chaotic glee. A blend of artistic, character-based, satirical, self-referential, pop-cultural, sometimes-musical humor that is always high-energy and rarely logical. The group's sketches strive to reveal the method behind the madness-showing that even the most absurd of situations makes sense when looked at from the right angle.

HISTORY
After officially forming in November 2004, Dave, Graham, Matt, and Scott dove headfirst into their first show, an hour-long production called "Meat on a Stick." A few sketches were written communally, and most sketches were written individually and then workshopped by the group. Pierre made its successful debut performance at La Salle on April 22, 2005, just two weeks before Graham and Scott graduated. After the show, the boys went back to writing and workshopping sketches, and got ready to perform at the Five Spot. This second show, also an hour long, had about 40% new material. The Five Spot show, July 8, 2005, was well received. A month later, Pierre was writing material for an entirely new 90-minute show.

When Graham left the group in the fall, the remaining members had to decide whether to call it quits, find a new fourth, or go on as a trio. They chose the latter, and moved forward with writing the new show, "Death From Above." Pierre had been appearing at open mic nights at Helium Comedy Club, and after a few months, were asked to perform in a show at Helium on April 26, 2006, where they premiered twenty minutes of their new 90-minute show. They performed the whole shebang of "Death From Above" at the Five Spot on June 2nd, 2006 with featured players Pat McDonald and Jess Ciaramella. The trio performed with The Gentlemen's Rotary Auxiliary and Rare Bird Show at the Shubin Theatre in December of 2006-their final shows with Scott, who moved to Cleveland in April 2007. Before Scott's departure, Pierre placed third in the 2007 Project Breakout Comedy Competition.

Dave and Matt moved forward as a duo, focusing on short films and a series of cartoon shorts called The Inventionors. The duo was runners-up in the 2007 Dirtiest Sketch in Philadelphia Contest at the Khyber. Dave and Matt are currently trying to clone themselves so they'll have a four-member group again.
